About these terms

These terms govern your use of rosedalefoundation.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here on the day you use the site.

Who we are

The site is operated by Rosedale Foundation, a start-up charity based in London. You can contact us at office@rosedalefoundation.co.uk.

Using this website

You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own use or to tell other people about our work. You may not use any part of the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We provide the site free of charge and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law or is fraudulent;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it is hosted on, or any connected system;
  • introduce viruses, trojans, worms or other malicious material;
  • carry out a denial-of-service attack or scrape the site in a way that affects its availability;
  • impersonate Rosedale Foundation or represent yourself as acting on our behalf.

We will report any breach of this section to the relevant authorities and cooperate with them.

Donations

Donations made through this site are voluntary gifts to Rosedale Foundation and are applied to our charitable objects at the discretion of our trustees. Where a donation is made in response to a specific appeal, we will use it for that purpose unless the appeal is oversubscribed or cannot proceed, in which case we will apply it to our general funds.

Because a donation is a gift rather than a purchase, there is no statutory right to a refund. If you make a mistake — a wrong amount, a duplicate gift, or a recurring donation you meant to cancel — contact us within 30 days and we will refund it wherever we can.

You must be 18 or over and using your own payment method to donate.

Gift Aid

If you make a Gift Aid declaration you are confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and that you have paid, or will pay, at least as much Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year as all the charities and community amateur sports clubs you support will reclaim on your donations. If you pay less than that amount, it is your responsibility to pay the difference to HMRC.

Please tell us if you stop paying enough tax, change your name or address, or want to cancel your declaration.

Events and bookings

Tickets for our events are sold to raise funds and are non-refundable unless we cancel or reschedule, in which case you may choose a refund or a transfer. We may need to change the venue, date or programme of an event, and will tell ticket holders as soon as we can.

Intellectual property

The Rosedale Foundation name, logo, tagline and the content of this site are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not use our logo or name in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our written permission.

If you would like to reuse our written content for a non-commercial purpose, ask us — the answer is usually yes.

Where we link to another organisation’s website we do so because we think it is useful. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, their availability or how they handle your data.

Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, housing or medical advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for professional advice or emergency services.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of anticipated savings arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
